God is the source of all things.
In your pursuit of change in behaviour, turn to God for true strength and love,
because prayer for change can only help help you on your journey of being a better person.

Let us Pray:

Gracious and loving Father, I thank you for this beautiful day, this beautiful life full of blessings.

Thank You for reminding me of how precious I am to you.
I am grateful that You have always loved me in good times and bad.
Thank you that you always lead me on the right path.
Lord Jesus, I am aware that sometimes I fail to meet your expectations, through my behaviour, my actions, my words and my deeds.
I want to become a better person, Abba Father.As I begin to change my behaviour, I ask that You help me think about this through Your eyes and Your love.

Please provide me the graces I need to become the person You want me to be.
I pray that You would help me and make me an instrument of Your message of peace and Glory.
Help me to become a better person, molded from the image of our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Help me to walk on this earth, doing justice to Your name and represent the goodness in all You do.
I want to be able to make others smile.

I wish to be able to make others happy.
I want to be able to add to the reason why someone's life is better.
Fill my heart with love for others. So I can do these things for them.
Fill my heart with joy, so I can extend this joy to others.
Help me to be a blessing in the lives of others.

Heavenly Father, help me to be a better person, to not think ill of others,
and not be selfish.

Help me see what is right and do what is best for the greater good of those around me.
Dear Lord, too often I find myself quick to respond in defensiveness or anger.
Help me to control my thoughts and my feelings when I am angry or frustrated with any situation.
Help me to hold my tongue and not gossip about others.

Abba Father, if I hurt others, please give me the strength to be humble and apologize.
If others hurt me, help me look inside my heart to find forgiveness.
Heavenly Father, help me to be more patient, humble, loving and kind to others.
Help me to listen to others with a compassionate and understanding heart.
Remind me to look at every situation from different angles.

To stand Mthe shoes of the stranger and look upon myself critically, so I can change for the better.
To view each person with compassion and to react without judgement.
When I am being judged, help me to be understanding.
When I am being rejected, help me to choose acceptance.
Help me to be the person one needs when they are hurting, and not the one who hurts others.

Take away all the vices and bad habits - greediness, laziness, arrogance, vanity and selfishness.
Help me to better cope with life situations, when things don't necessarily go the way I may have liked them to.
Help me to be resilient and never stop trusting in You, Abba Father, even when things look difficult.
Help me to take better care of myself so that I can be a rock that my family can lean on.
May I be a better human being in the future than I am right now.

I make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
