THIS is what I pray my kids remember 🙏🏼 #christianmama #motherhoodrising
I used to think I needed to do my quiet time before my babies woke up or while they napped but then I realized: why not let them see me in my Bible? Why not model the habit of spending time with God for them?
Of course it’s great to get that undivided time before they wake up, but on the mornings they’re both up at 5am and it simply doesn’t happen, it’s sooo much better to do it in front of them and let them see, than to not do it at all because I’m telling myself I’m not being present with them if I do. That’s a lie from the enemy!
The thing is, as much as I try to minimize it, my babies see me on my phone. Even if I’m not working or scrolling, I use it to follow recipes, track feeds, even use my Bible commentary. They’re going to see me on my phone, but I pray they remember seeing me in my Bible more.
More importantly, I pray they see fruit from my time in God’s Word and grow to hunger for Him themselves. 🕊️
P.S. It’s the little voice saying “I want to help mama color” for me 🥲🤍
