My friends, we need to experience a wakening about what will truly give us security and rootedness. It really doesn’t have anything to do with where we are geographically. Who we are matters much more than where we are. It also doesn’t have much to do with perfect circumstances. God has promised us that if we delight ourselves in Him, He’ll give us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4). The problem is, we tend to pursue that in the wrong order—we start by running after our desires, and then wind up frustrated when they don’t deliver the peace we are searching for. //Lisa Brenninkmeyer, Fearless and Free
