I've been reading through Acts for my personal Bible study, and I was recently struck by the contrast of two stories I read back to back. In both stories, there is a man with a crowd eager to please him - even worship him. But how the two men respond couldn't be more different. One man's response reveals that he desires his own glory, whereas the other man's response reveals that he clearly desires God's glory. As someone who in my flesh, has to fight the desire to please people and the desire to feel satisfaction when I have the approval of people...this story convicted me. I pray it helps you to examine your own heart and that God speaks to you through it!
