How to make your rest count

Rest isn’t something that we only do when we go to be and sleep each night. Yes, sleep is important, but so is resting. Rest is a chance to slow down, unwind and re-charge. Depending on your personality, your circumstances or your needs, rest for you may look different than someone else’s form of rest.

Maybe it’s a warm cup of tea or coffee in your favorite chair, a quiet stroll through your favorite wooded trails, or laying on your yoga mat while listening to a Be Still & Be Loved meditation.
Wherever the location, whatever the time of day or length of time - the posture of your heart is what matter most. Intentionally making the time to slow down, be still, breath & spends time in the presence of the Lord is what matters.

Not because it’s something to check off your “to do” list or because it’s something you “have to do” to be a better Christian, but because you know that all things seem to function better after some rest and we are deal with daily stresses! You are no different. He is calling you into His presence to rest!

Jesus said, “Come to me all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
