Christian Questions

Understanding what “Christ in you” really means is built on two basic points. First we focus on the next phrase which reads “the hope of glory”. While this is a heavenly glory, the big point is this word “hope”, which means having a clear expectation. This hope is NOT a wish. True Christians can count on the fact that faithfulness to the call will bring a heavenly reward.
In a recent podcast we observed the second basic point is learning how to have such hope. While this comes from Christ ultimately being in us, it actually begins with first being in Christ, being a “new creation”. This call out of the darkness and being given God’s spirit is where true discipleship begins. To have Christ in you, you must first be in Christ.
