One more responsibility.

One more meeting.

One more email.

One more crisis.

One more person to care for.

Over time, all those small demands can leave the soul exhausted.

Tonight’s Your Nightly Prayer is for the person who feels stretched too thin.

Tonight’s Scripture

“Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him.” — Psalm 62:5

David did not wait for his circumstances to become easy before he rested in God.

He learned to speak truth back to his own soul.

Rest here does not simply mean sleep.

It means becoming still enough to remember:

You are not responsible for controlling everything.

You do not have to wait until the project ends, the school year is over, the schedule clears, or every problem is solved before you can experience God’s peace.

Hope has a source.

And it is not finally getting caught up.

It is God Himself.

🙏 What burden have you been carrying as if everything depended on you? Share a prayer request below, or simply write:

“Jesus, teach my soul to rest.”
