The Charles Gore Lecture: The Poetics of Life with Professor Catherine Pickstock

Professor Catherine Pickstock gave the 2024 Charles Gore Lecture at Westminster Abbey on 18th September 2024. In a lecture titled 'The Poetics of Life: Life as Poetry', Pickstock argued that 'to live poetically is to participate in the Trinitarian generation of image and its fulfilment as intellect or spirit'.<br />

Catherine Pickstock is the Norris-Hulse Professor of Divinity at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge. She is the author of several books in philosophical theology, the most recent being Aspects of Truth (2021). She is currently the recipient of a Leverhulme Research Fellowship for a project entitled Platonic Poetics.<br />
