Muddy Season on the Homestead | ER Scare, Eye Emergency & A Titus 2 Encouragement
We’ve officially entered what we call the muddy season here on the homestead… and if you’ve ever lived in the north woods, you know exactly what that means. Melting snow, uneven ground, animal pens in disarray, and that strange in-between where winter hasn’t quite let go—but spring is trying.
In today’s video, I talk about real-life here on The Biblical Homestead—from the mess of thawing ground and homestead chores to something much more unexpected… an ER visit.
Ron began experiencing flashing lights in his vision, which led us down the road of a possible retinal detachment. It’s one of those moments that makes you stop and realize just how quickly things can change. By God’s grace, it was not the severe type—but it was a reminder to slow down, pay attention, and take care.
With everything going on in the world right now, I felt led to share a deeper encouragement, especially for the Titus 2 women, homemakers, wives, and mothers… or anyone seeking peace in the middle of uncertainty.
The world may feel heavy.
Things may feel out of control.
But we have not been left without purpose.
We are still called to:
• Keep our homes
• Care for our families
• Walk in peace, not fear
• Stand firm in truth
The enemy may try to make things difficult—but he cannot take the heart of what God has called us to be.
So whether you’re walking through your own “muddy season” physically or spiritually… I hope this video encourages you to keep going, stay grounded, and remember where your strength comes from.
Thank you for being here with us.
