Why We Must Abide in Christ | Your Nightly Prayer

📖 John 15:4–5 (ESV)
"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me… apart from me you can do nothing."

Dear Jesus,
I’ve tried doing life in my own strength, rushing through the day without pausing to sit at Your feet. But You remind me tonight that without You, I can do nothing.

Help me slow down and return to the source of my strength—You. Let my heart not be tangled in the noise of this world but anchored in Your presence. You are the Vine. I am a branch. Everything I need flows from You: peace, purpose, wisdom, joy.

Lord, teach me to remain—not visit occasionally, but abide continually—in You. Help me make space in my soul for Your words, Your love, and Your power. Let my life reflect the fruit that comes from staying connected to You.

Draw me in tonight. Quiet every distraction. Dwell in me as I seek to dwell in You.
In Your name I pray,
